Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you so much for your patience and cooperation this week, because of your support our systems are running smoothly and we have had a very positive start to the school year. Each day we have been tweaking our procedures to improve further. We now feel that we can improve the drop off by changing to the following times from Monday 14th September;
8.40am Siblings
8.45am Year 3, 4, 5, and 6
8.50am Year 1 and 2
This should speed things up and ensure all children are in class by 9am. For the time being we will stick to the pick-up times and procedures but will review these each week. Many thanks to the Year 2 and Year 3 parents and carers for sticking to the 3.25pm time as this greatly reduced the congestion in the yard outside the classrooms. Please note that we are unable to allow siblings to go to each other’s classes to be picked up together as we are not allowed to mix bubbles.
Now we are in good routines can I just remind you of the following;
Important Information
As we have a child in school with a nut allergy can I ask you not to send nuts into school in packed lunches or as snacks.
I also wanted to inform you that from next week I will not be in school Mondays. Mrs Brooks will be Headteacher on a Monday. I remain the substantive Headteacher and will be available as usual from Tuesday to Friday. Mrs Brooks will be available Mondays. We are looking forward to this new way of working and will ensure it is business as usual from the children’s, staffs’ and parents’ point of view.
Have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes
Ms Thompson
Headteacher
