Year 2 visit to Newcastle Eagles on Friday 20 December

Dear Parent,     

 My name is Anthony Forrester, and I am Gateshead Development Officer for Newcastle Eagles Basketball Club. The school have recently committed to an extensive basketball programme and the children are enthused about the potential for playing both within school during curriculum lessons, and outside of school such as attending a local community club and joining the local Central Venue League. Basketball has had a huge impact on the young people we work with across our Eagles Community Foundation, and we are anticipating significant growth in interest of the sport within the school and club programmes.  

One of the most exciting experiences is just around the corner! On Friday 20^th December, all YEAR 2 children are invited to attend our match on a free ticket. At the match, all children will be taken onto the court where they will receive a medal for their outstanding attitude, concentration, performance and commitment in the current school curriculum basketball sessions on Monday afternoons.  

All other tickets for parents/ siblings will be only £8. Please arrange your tickets through the school office. Deadline for bookings onto the event is Tuesday 17^th December 2019.

 At the end of game, the children will go onto the court to meet and get photographed with the Eagles team. We will then forward the photo onto the school to share with all the parents, free of charge. This will be a memorable experience for the children, an opportunity not to miss.
