Religious Education
Religious Education continues to be a statutory subject and the scheme of work used throughout our school adheres to the Gateshead Education Authority’s Agreed Syllabus.
Weekly lessons are carefully planned and delivered to ensure our pupils acquire knowledge and develop understanding of Christianity and other principal religions represented in the United Kingdom, particularly in Gateshead.
Children enjoy learning about the major religions through well planned, interactive and engaging lessons. In addition, as a whole school, we recognise a variety of celebrations throughout the year, including Chinese New Year, Diwali and Eid.
Daily, whole school acts of collective worship cover a variety of themes from celebrating pupils' successes with parents, hymn practise, PSHE and Citizenship themes and religious stories.
