Our Defibrillator is up and Running!

With the help of kind donations and the hard work of the Friends of the School we have now been able to purchase a top of the range defibrillator. Without a defibrillator first aiders would only have about a two per cent chance of resuscitating a person who has suffered a heart attack! With a defibrillator this increases to over seventy per cent! We are so pleased to have this life saving equipment in school for school and local community use. Our machine has a button to adjust settings for children and is fully automated. Ms Thompson and another seven members of staff from across the school have undertaken training to ensure they are confident to use the defibrillator in an emergency. Thank you once again for all your support of the Friends of the School events.

The Friends raised a grand total of £224.66 from the Bake Sale.

The Friends of the School organised our Christmas Fair.

The Friends raised money for Macmillan.

We have a 'Friends of Ravensworth Terrace' (FORT) group who regularly meet with school staff and who are actively involved with arranging and organising events throughout the year. All parents, grandparents and friends of the school are made very welcome. The FORT noticeboard is on the wall outside at the side of the school office and dates and times of meetings and events are advertised. Mrs D Riding is the person to contact with any ideas or suggestions.
